This project was a concept for a residential recovery center for women and young girls rescued from sex trafficking. By utilizing Trauma Informed Design (TiD) Framework and the Macy & John's Study on Sex Trafficking Victims, the center has been designed to incorporate spaces for various psychological treatments, holistic therapies, classrooms and a communal style living space to foster the importance of togetherness, community and building positive relationships. The proposed 30,000 sqft. residential structure has been divided into 3 phases. This proposal is for phase I of the centers design.

Our Design incorporates the utilization of sustainable, biophilic, holistic centered design to create an atmosphere of healing, renewal, and recovery. Our inspiration is drawn from nature, the sea, Japandi design, and the natural process of metamorphosis. A neutral color palette, raw organic materials, and an abundance of natural light will work in tandem with Trauma Informed Design framework delivering a state of the art, wholesome holistic wellness recovery center, where architecture heals.
